Inventor CAM 2D Machining and Turning - Training
Duration: 1 day
Designed for: For Inventor users that wish to utilise the CAM environment to create 2D machining features, drilling toolpaths, turning features and process them into NC code for use on a CNC machine.
Prerequisites: Previous Inventor software knowledge is advised; essentials level training is adequate. It is recommended that users understand CNC machining theory but don’t necessarily need to be machine operators.
Course Description: This course is for CAM or CAD users who want to learn to create CNC strategies on Inventor CAM for 2.5axis machines and CNC Lathes. This course covers the techniques required to take a model from the CAD environment, plot toolpaths, simulate and post process them to NC code.
After this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the fundamental concepts, workflows and benefits of using Inventor CAM
- Locate and navigate the Inventor CAM user interface
- Importing Geometry
- Setup a stock for 2D milling and turning
- Create drilling cycles
- Use and create tools and tool libraries
- Create and manipulate 2D and turning toolpath strategies
- Understand the machining simulation and post processing of the job
- Learn techniques to review NC code in Autodesk CAM edit.
