Designed for: This courseware is designed for the novice users of Twinmotion with no or very little experience, who want to learn the core features and functionalities to enable them to create realistic images and engaging walkthrough style videos using 3D models from Revit.
Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Revit, some AutoCAD may be useful but not essentials. It is also recommended that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft supported operating systems. working knowledge of Microsoft supported operating systems.
Course Description: Twinmotion gives you the tools to take your Revit model into a seamless real-time rendering environment, with no detail loss or headscratchers around where something went. Once linked, you can continue to refine in your favourite design software before sending those changes to Twinmotion with a single click and then, with thousands of high-quality smart assets that you can just drag and drop into your scene, you can bring your vision to life and communicate how your design will look at any time of day, in any season, and in any weather. On this course you will learn how to achieve all the above with hands-on exercises throughout the courseware.
Course Objectives
The primary objective of this courseware is to teach the student how to link their Revit model with Twinmotion, understand the different methods of exporting the Revit project and why to use them. Then how to improve the presentation materials, add supporting assets and create a vivid “live” environment to compliment their project and bring their design story to life.
Course Outline
Upon completion of the course, the student will:
- Link a Revit Project with Twinmotion.
- Apply and customise materials different parts of the imported Revit model.
- Add assets into the Revit model.
- Create landscapes with realisticˆ landscaping features.
- Add animated assets, i.e. people, animals, vehicles.
- Add lighting and other ‘particle’ elements such as water, fire, and smoke.
- Create scenes at different times of day, in different seasons with changing weather.
- Learn how to save scenes as images and movies and then export these to share with the project stakeholders.
