Designed for: This course is designed for existing Advance Steel users looking to use the interoperability workflow between Advance Steel and Revit.
Prerequisites: Advance Steel users to have completed an Advance Steel essentials course.
Description: Advance Steel users will be able to transfer Advance Steel models into Revit, use the Revit interface, open Revit models and filter out the Steelwork to transfer into Advance Steel for detailing.
The primary objective of this course is to introduce Advance Steel users to the Revit interface and learn the bi-directional transfer of model data via the SMLX transfer mechanism. After completing the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand the Revit interface
- Transfer models from Advance Steel to Revit and vice versa using the SMLX transfer mechanism
- Take the Revit model then create and detail views, schedules
- Take existing Revit models then create and filter views ready to export to Advance Steel
