OVERVIEW

Advance Design is a mature and easy to use FEM Structural Analysis solution dedicated to structural engineers operating in a BIM environment. It designs any type of structure, with any kind of loads, mixing concrete, timber and steel members. It includes major code standards (Eurocodes / North American).

In this paper we will see how to use Graitec Advance Design (AD) and Reinforcement Concrete (RC) modules. We will also look at ways the Reinforcement Concrete (RC) modules can be used inside Autodesk Revit and as standalone programs.

Graitec developed a set of design and detailing modules for elements in GRAITEC Advance Design (AD) and made it possible for them to be used as standalone software or as part of the GRAITEC Powerpacks for Revit, improving Autodesk Revit capabilities in design and detailing of concrete and steel structures.

The AD RC modules are embedded in Advance Design core software. They offer a big improvement for Autodesk Revit and are a standalone option for design and detailing of beams, columns, slabs, walls, and footings when using other workflows.

In this paper we will look at the main features of the AD RC modules, and we will also study some possible workflows.
