You can specify whether you want to view a tooltip or not, when the cursor moves over an element. By default, the option is enabled.
This option can be set using the icon at the bottom of the screen:
By right clicking this icon, you can disable the tooltips or configure their properties.
By default, when the cursor moves over an element, its identifier (Numbering), material and cross section are displayed.
In the “Tooltips settings” dialog box, the left list displays the list of all the parameters that can be added and the right list displays the current tooltip content. For example, to display the releases of the elements, select “Releases” in the left column, and then click “Add”.
If the “Restraints” criteria are added, the boundary conditions can be displayed on the supports. For example, the support on the left in the image below is hinged, since the translation restraints along X, Y and Z are enabled. The support on the right is fixed: all the restraints are enabled.
In addition, using the display options, the elements can be highlighted when the cursor moves over them.
