Designed for: This courseware is designed for new users of InfoDrainage who want to know the basics of designing and analysing a drainage system incorporating underground Pipe Networks and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
Prerequisites: Previous experience of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is desirable but not essential. It is also recommended you have a working knowledge of the Microsoft operating system will be useful, but not essential.
Course Description: In this course you will learn the fundamentals of creating a Drainage Model and designing a Pipe Network with Sewers for Adoption (SFA) criteria (No Surcharge and No Flooding Criteria).
In addition to Pipe Design, you will design and analysis a SuDS based drainage system with a Pond, a Swale and a Cellular Storage System.
The objective of the course is to teach students the Tools and Techniques of Drainage Design using InfoDrainage. Upon completion students will be able to:
- Become familiar with the InfoDrainage User Interface.
- Build a Surface Model and analyse flow paths.
- Design a Pipe Network and analyse flooding a surcharge.
- Design a pond and check capacity.
- Design a Swale.
- Design a Cellular Storage system.
- Analise SuDS.
- Import and Export Data
