Join us for our Lunch and Learn Week with Advance Design

Don’t miss out on a week of informative sessions which will show how Graitec Advance Design can boost your structural design and analysis processes. From Monday 13th to Friday 17th September, our expert Jameel Deader will be presenting a short and sharp session each day to bring you up to speed with the core functionality of this powerful FEM product.

We will kick off the week by showing how Advance Design enables structural engineers to operate effective BIM workflows. Jameel will look at the unique link between Revit and Advance Design, which allows users to move their models in both directions seamlessly between the two platforms.

On Tuesday we will be taking a deeper dive into the functionality of Advance Design, which provides users with the tools they need to design complex structures. Jameel will introduce you to some of the key features for concrete, steel and timber design, including detailed design reports. He will also demonstrate the 3D Climatic Loads Generator, which will quickly let you know the intensity and distribution of the climatic loads on your structure.

During Wednesday’s session, Jameel will outline how Advance Design can be utilised for construction stage design. He will show you how the FEA capabilities of this software, including staged loading, adapting material properties and phased calculation, can be applied throughout your design process so you understand how the structure will behave at each stage of the process.

On Thursday the focus will be on reinforced concrete design, as we show how Advance Design gives you the tools you require to undertake a range of concrete projects. This will give you the confidence you need for designing and detailing, as well as helping you to successfully generate reinforcement drawings and reports.

In the final session Jameel will highlight the role that templates can play in your workflows. He will share several handy tips & tricks, which will help you to quickly define element properties, to achieve steel design optimisation and to generate reports instantly. He will show you how to load and save your templates, as well as how to use several templates within the same model. A must for any Advance Design user!
