We have recently completed this year’s Graitec UK Advance Steel User Group, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the event was run as an online event as it was last year.
This year’s User Group was run over two sessions where the attendees were shown classes by Aleck Giles and Rob Merriman on topics including Advance Steel Tips & Tricks, Importing & Exporting and the Graitec PowerPack.
We were pleased to have Gernot Jeromin (Product Manager for Advance Steel and Revit Structural Steel), Philippe Bonneau (Technical Marketing Manager) and Michael Gustafson (Senior Industry Strategy Manager – Structures) from Autodesk join us for the event. We are very grateful to them for giving a presentation and answering questions from our customers.
We once again ran our Graitec UK Advance Steel model competition; we separated the competition into three categories this year which were Structural Steelwork, Stairs and Railings and Miscellaneous. The competition was judged by Autodesk, and after deliberation they selected the following worthy winners:
Briton Fabricators took home the Structural Steelwork prize for this ambitious infrastructure project.
In the Stairs and Railings category, Structural Stairways were the winners thanks to this stunning project.
The Miscellaneous trophy was awarded to Astley Fab for their impressive design work.
You can see all of this year’s entries and the winning models in our Graitec UK Advance Steel model competition showreel:
Thank you to all the attendees for putting aside the time to join the events, entering their models into the competition, and for making the User Group as interactive as possible for an online event. The recordings will be available to Graitec customers via the Graitec Advantage site.
