PowerPack for Advance Steel 2023 Released

On 30th May 2023 Graitec released the 2023 versions of all their products. This includes the PowerPack for Advance Steel. Obviously, this version supports running on Advance Steel 2023. So the many PowerPack users out there can now safely upgrade to AS2023 and get double of its gains with new features from Autodesk and Graitec.

This version of PowerPack includes a number of new features and enhancements.

NEW Lines to Grid tool – Convert any selection of ordinary AutoCAD lines (coplanar) into Advance Steel Grids. This includes options to make mode views and cameras based on these grid lines. If you receive an architect’s layout or similar with grids already drawn on it you can now just copy those lines and convert them in one easy move. Perhaps you dislike the very user-unfriendly Grid command in Advance Steel. Now you could just draw plain lines and convert them with this tool.

NEW Multi Grid + Level tool – Create grids parallel to the WCS X and Y axis plus copy them up or down to multiple levels all in one dialog box. Additional built-in options allow you to control the labelling and create model views / levels and cameras based on these grids. You can even come back later and edit the whole set as a unit back in the same dialog box. A very slick way to produce all the grids your structure needs in one operation.

NEW Camera Creator tool – A single dialog box allows you to streamline creation of many cameras in your model. Make cameras based on the 9 prime directions plus the current UCS without having to change the UCS. Set all camera properties and include an automatic counter in the description to automate labelling (great for sections on grids or levels).

Streamlined ribbon – the PowerPack ribbon has been adjusted to streamline it and make space for the new tools.

Stair Plate Stringer Dimensions – when using Plate stringers in the PowerPack Premium Stairs you can now set the overall dimension of the plate rather than just the offsets.

Stair Plate Stringer Mitres – you can now add mitres to selected corners when using plate stringers in the PowerPack premium Stairs.
